Blackjack (or twenty) is the typical card game in which one has the feeling that can win. It is the card game with a greater presence in casinos around the world. Much of the popularity of blackjack lies in a combination of chance and skill, and the publicity that surrounds card counting (calculating the probability of advantage based on the percentage of low cards or high cards).

The idea that you just have to get score twenty points, some players felt that winning is easy. What many do not realize is that the game is not based only on luck, but above all in the strategy.

The first written reference of blackjack appears in the picaresque work of Miguel de Cervantes “Rinconetey Cortadillo” which tells the story of a couple of swindlers who barely survive in Seville and whose specialty is cheating to “blackjack”. The text describes the object is to score 21 points without going over, and the Ace is worth 1 or 11 points.

The name “Blackjack” comes from the US casinos, in which a special bonus (payout ratio of 10: 1) is offered if the player’s hand consisted of the ace of spades and a Jack or black Jota (either of clubs or spades).

Objective of Blackjack
The aim of blackjack is to add a hand of twenty points total (without going over) or as close as possible to that figure. All cards have their numerical value, minus figures (J / Q / K), which are worth 10 points. Aces are worth 11 points or 1 (in the case that 11 did the player going over twenty).

Individual players play against the dealer, who deals two cards each and himself. The only difference is that one of the dealer’s cards left eye and the other remains hidden. Then the player will have to decide whether to ask for another card or stand. The player can also insure your hand, surrender, separate or double the bet. (There is more information in the section Blackjack Rules ).

As each player at the table plays individually against the dealer, it can win and lose at the same time.

Blackjack Strategies
Learning to play blackjack is easy, but there is a big difference between knowing how to play and play well strategically. Blackjack is one of the few games that can actually neutralize the house edge if the right strategy is used.

The strategy based on mathematical probabilities, allows players to know what action to take according to the letter view of the dealer and the total value of his own hand.

That’s where the count appears. Some claim that it is possible to count the number of cards used with such a degree of probability that one can determine what their next hand. Although no doubt that this is possible (because the casinos usually used 6 to 8 decks in a game of blackjack) there are some counting strategies based on the number of cards dealt to calculate the mathematical odds of getting a certain card and it bets are based.

Using some basic strategies, the player can make better decisions during the game (more about this in the section Basic strategies of blackjack ).

It is advised not ensure even the dealer up card is an Ace should bet on games where blackjack is paid at 3: 2. Rather than in paid at the rate of 6: 5. Finally, we must take time to learn the basic strategy if you want to play seriously, learning to detect patterns of strategy to understand why it works as it does. After all this, you can start testing the strategy in a virtual casino that will open an account with play money.
